The QQQ is amongst the most actively traded securities in the world, and a goto for institutional traders. But in the early 2010s, despite QQQ’s popularity, no one knew what the brand behind the ETF stood for. We wanted to change that
We created mailers, posters and oddball contests to introduce fund managers to the promise of a brand called PowerShares with the tagline: Escape Average. The brand was acquired by Invesco for hundreds of millions of dollars.
